Celebrating Another Year of Service
We are proud to celebrate another successful year of service!
During the 2019-2020 school year, 80 City Year Orlando AmeriCorps membersÌýfulfilled a year–long commitment toÌýserve as near–peer tutors and mentors to Â鶹¹ú²ú in eight O°ù±ô²¹²Ô»å´ÇÌýschools. Although the year did not end as planned, City Year Orlando AmeriCorps, in partnership withÌýOCPSÌýand school administration, shifted to a virtual training and service model to provide social, emotional and academic support to Â鶹¹ú²ú while schools were closed. City Year Orlando served more than 350 Â鶹¹ú²ú through virtual programming, social media engagement and virtual office hours, that provided Â鶹¹ú²ú with the opportunity to talk to a trusted mentor.
